This layout was inspired by the amazing artwork of Bastion (an awesome game, you should play it!). FIY, I am actually very insane and go through about a bazillion ideas before I actually settle on the final look. This is just a quick summary, I left at least 53598235 other steps out.

Step 1: Sketched some ideas in my sketchbook

Step 2: Scanning and outlining time!

Step 3: Scrap the tedious outlining.. re-imagine layout again in Photoshop.

Step 4: COLOURING TIME!

Step 5: Add some extra details to the layout

Step 6: Forget about layout for a few weeks

Step 7: Shading and colouring and tweaking all done. Tah dah~~~~
